Mohini Rawool-Sullivan
Mohini Rawool-Sullivan (Mohini Sullivan) has been painting watercolors since her childhood. She has taught herself how to paint and has developed her own style. Most people think of watercolor as a bleeding medium that produces fairly muted colors. This is not true with Mohini's paintings. Her watercolors have sharp edges and high contrast. Use of resonate color is her trademark. All the paintings are composed form various reference photographs. To protect the texture of the watercolor paper, Mohini sketches her composition on tracing paper before transfering the image. She has shown her paintings in county fairs and restaurants that showcase art. Occasionally Mohini works with pastels, inks, and colored pencils. Mohini was born in Mumbai (Bombay), India. Mohini now lives in Los Alamos, NM. She is a physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
