Bio: Mohini Rawool-Sullivan
Mohini Rawool-Sullivan has been painting watercolors since she was a little kid growing up in Mumbai, India. When she was young her father taught her how to draw on slate. Her parents gave her watercolor paints, brushes, paper and painting books. She taught herself to paint by reading books and watching her sisters paint but mostly by painting various paintings by herself. Since then she has taken watercolor workshops and classes to refine her skills. Recently she has taught herself to compose and create digital paintings in mixed media. She also has done pastels and watercolor pencils. However she always comes back to watercolor paintings. Mohini’s paintings are filled with with vibrant and bright colors. Mohini loves to paint seasons, landscapes, adobe houses, adobe churches, animals and flowers. She finds Southwest landscape most inspiring. Mohini lives in Los Alamos, New Mexico working as a scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
